When Karisma Kapoor walked out after a performance on Kareena's song — Here's what really happened

Karisma Kapoor shares one of the strongest sisterly bonds in Bollywood with Kareena Kapoor Khan. From partying together to supporting each other through life’s ups and downs, the two have always been pillars of strength for one another. So, when a throwback video surfaced showing Karisma getting unexpectedly emotional on the sets of India’s Best Dancer during a performance to one of Kareena’s iconic songs, fans were left truly stunned.

During the shoot, two contestants took the stage to perform on ‘Roshni Se’, the sensual track from Asoka featuring Kareena and Shah Rukh Khan. It started like any other act, but as the performance went on, Karisma’s expression slowly changed. She seemed rather unsettled, even uncomfortable. Moments later, without saying a word, she stood up and quietly walked off the judging panel.

The sudden exit left everyone on set, and later, online, completely puzzled. Was it the choreography? The vibe of the song? Or something more personal?

Back on stage, her co-judges Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis looked visibly concerned. Even Sajid Khan, who was present as a guest, was left speechless. Turning to the contestants, he asked, “Aisa kya bol diya?” trying to piece together what could’ve triggered Karisma’s walkout.

Fans also took to their handles with questions and theories suggesting that it was the song’s emotional tone that possibly brought back memories. Others suggested, "Or maybe the performance just hit too close to home?"

Kareena was spotted over the weekend, attending Karisma's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's funeral in Delhi. Besides the actress, her husband, Saif Ali Khan was also spotted at the funeral.
