In a move aimed at strengthening career guidance and promoting psychosocial wellbeing in schools , the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday unveiled two major initiatives, the Career Guidance Dashboard and the Counseling Hub and Spoke School Model , for the academic session 2025–26.
These flagship programs were introduced during an orientation-cum-interaction session attended by educators, school heads, and mental health professionals. According to PTI, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh said, “Both initiatives are designed to benefit schools and students and will continue to evolve through active input from stakeholders.”
Inside the new CBSE career guidance dashboard CBSE’s Career Guidance Dashboard offers a comprehensive interface tailored for students, teachers, and school leaders. The dashboard includes features such as:
Counseling hub and spoke model for holistic wellbeingThe CBSE Counseling Hub and Spoke Model aims to establish a structured support system at the school level to address students’ emotional and mental health needs alongside academic and career development. A focused session explained the implementation architecture, school-level responsibilities, and monitoring mechanisms, as reported by PTI.
