Fresh off the back of the recent 007 First Light stream, Sony is reportedly gearing up to hold another big State of Play event in September 2025.
The latest reports suggest Sony will host a State of Play event in the week beginning September 22.
Marvel fans will almost certainly want to tune in, because the upcoming State of Play event will likely feature an appearance from Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game.
News of a September State of Play was revealed by industry insider NateTheHate 2, who was asked when the event would take place. Replying to the question on X, NateTheHate said: "Next week."
With Ghost of Yotei launching in early October, the PlayStation State of Play will almost certainly feature new gameplay footage from the upcoming action-adventure game.
Likewise, there's a chance we'll get some more footage of upcoming Naughty Dog game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Fingers crossed we'll also get some new game announcements, including that long-rumoured Bloodborne remake/remaster.
However, the highlight will almost certainly be Marvel's Wolverine, which is expected to launch in 2026.
Little is known about Marvel's Wolverine, which was announced with a cinematic teaser trailer featuring the popular member of the X-Men.
Unsurprisingly, Marvel's Wolverine is said to feature a more mature tone than games like Spider-Man, which was also developed by Insomniac Games.
The developer has also confirmed plans to take advantage of the PS5 Pro, which means superior visuals and improved frame-rates.
That's on top of DualSense support, which could be put to good use in a game like Wolverine.
