Reform MP Lee Anderson publicly responded to a punchy email which he shared on his social media account. The strongly-worded message from 'Steve S' warns the party's Chief Whip against knocking on his door. The Ashfield MP took a screenshot of the email, which he posted on X, alongside a witty caption.
The message, which was sent on Sunday alongside the heading "1st and only warning" read: "You really are a grade A c*** and you need a jolly good thrashing you are a lying cheating b******, even ya kids and wife think your a c***. NOW THIS IS THE WARNING KNOCK ON MY DOOR IT WILL BE THE LAST."
Mr Anderson responded by saying: "Email of The Week." before adding in a cheeky six-word retort: "He forgot to leave his address."
In the comments below the post, the Reform MP joked that he could possibly be "a floating voter" - someone who could be convinced to join Reform.
Social media users were quick to respond to the email he received, and wrote: "What a wally", and "I think I'm more offended by the grammar and spelling than by the sentiment".
Another added: "I sense this voter may not entirely support Reform," while a fourth said: "People actually go out their way to write an email like this at 8.30am!"
A fifth X user commented: "Some of us sat drinking coffee in the garden on a gloriously sunny, warm summer morning.
"Steve, however..."
Reform UK has now been declared by Sir Keir Starmer as his main opposition after winning two mayoralities, 10 councils and one MP in May's local elections.
Mr Anderson's party is currently topping national polls, with support for Nigel Farage rapidly growing. Voters see Mr Farage as the "Prime Minister in waiting", according to Reform UK, after the public were asked to grade the performance of party leaders.
The public gave Mr Farage a "B" when asked how he has fared - compared with a "C-" for Labour's Sir Keir Starmer and the Liberal Democrats' Sir Ed Davey, and a "D" for the Conservatives' Kemi Badenoch.
