Devil Wears Prada 2 is in the works with original stars Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway back as the fierce Miranda Priestley and "newcomer" Andy Sachs, respectively.
Fans have been given a taste of what's to come in the hotly aniticpated sequel for the first time with 20th Century Studios dropping a teaser for Devil Wears Prada 2.
Set to the music of Madonna's iconic Vogue, a pair of red stilettos is seen walking through a fashion magazine's office and into a lift, revealing it to be none other than Mirance Priestley (played by Meryl Streep).
But before the lift doors shut, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) enters and says hello to Miranda.
The Runway editor-in-chief then sassily replies: "Took you long enough" as Andy smiles and puts on her sunglasses.
While the trailer reveals very little of what's to come, fans cannot contain their excitement at the unforgettable film's return.
"One word, iconic!", someone exclaimed as another echoed: "No but the fact they put Madonna's vogue is so iconic."
Referring to Streep's sassy one-liner, someone else posted: "'Took you long enough' WE LOVE A GOOD METAREFERENCE."
A fellow fan excitedly wrote: "I AM seated. The theater employees are scared and asking me to leave because it's 'not August yet' but I'm simply too seated."
As another user added:"Now that's a trailer. Showing everything without spoiling anything."
So far, there has been no talk on what the plot is going to be but confirmation has already been given that Devil Wears Prada 2 will be ready to watch in cinemas on Friday, May 1, 2026.
What's even more exciting is the fact that the entire original main cast consisting of Streep, Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci will be back for the sequel.
This time around, they will be joined by the likes of Bridgerton's Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Caleb Hearon, Kenneth Branagh, Pauline Chalamet, BJ Nova, and Conrad Ricamora with Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also returning.
The original film was based on author Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name, following journalism graduate Andy as she starts her demanding job as Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestley's junior assistant.
Devil Wears Prada 2 premieres on Friday, May 1, 2026, in cinemas.
