Large areas of the UK could sizzle in temperatures of more than 30C on Tuesday, according to a new weather map. The map by WXCharts.com shows four areas - London, the south-east, Midlands and East Wales - could see the most scorching temperatures.
The hottest area looks set to be in Gloucestershire where the mercury could hit a roasting 34C. London and the south-east, including Kent, East and West Sussex, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, all appear set for temperatures between 30C and 32C. It's a similar story in the Midlands, while the south-west and East Anglia are all set to bake in some blazing temperatures, although coastal areas will likely be cooler.
Hot conditions are also on the cards for parts of northern England, particularly Yorkshire where it could hit 30C.
Manchester and Liverpool are predicted to see some balmy climes of 28C and 26C respectively.
The rest of northern England will largely be cooler, although still warm with temperatures ranging from 21C to 26C.
Wales is also set to see sweltering conditions on Tuesday.
Eastern areas will likely see the hottest temperatures of up to 32C but it could also hit 30C in Pembrokeshire.
North-western Wales is expected to be cooler, although it could still reach 28C in Gwynedd. It is expected to be a fresher 20C on the Isle of Anglesey.
Neither Scotland or Northern Ireland will see temperatures as warm as those predicted for much of England and Wales, according to the weather map.
In Scotland, central and southern areas are likely to be the warmest, with temperatures largely in the mid-to-low 20s.
Berwickshire could experience the hottest temperatures in Scotland (25C), while Edinburgh and Glasgow are set to see climes of 22C and 23C respectively.
Northern Scotland will be cooler, particularly in coastal areas, but still largely in the low 20s.
For Northern Ireland, temperatures are set to range from 19C to 24C.
It is predicted to be 21C in Belfast, while Londonderry and some southern areas could enjoy warm 24C climes.
The Met Office's forecast for Tuesday to Thursday says: "Plenty of fine and dry weather throughout, but potentially thundery at times. Always cloudier with occasional rain in the far northwest. Warm in the north, but hot in the south."
