Schools in a UK town were placed in lockdown on Monday, it has been reported. A heightened police presence, including armed police officers, was noticed by locals in Holyhead on September 15.
Parents at a primary school reportedly received a message stating the pupils' school was put into a "temporary lockdown" by the North Wales Police. It is not yet clear what prompted the response and police presence in the area. NorthWalesLive mentioned unconfirmed reports that a man was seen with an axe.
It is understood the lockdown has been lifted but we are looking to get more details now.
There are however still many concerns with people saying the continuing police presence indicates that no one has been tracked down yet. People are worried about their children although police are around schools in significant numbers.
