Debbie McGee recently shared a photo of her late husband, Paul Daniels, on social media as she reflected on their time together. Daniels, the beloved magician, passed away nine years ago. The Strictly Come Dancing star expressed that since his death, she has "not had many offers" while exploring the dating scene. Although she has enjoyed some brief relationships with men, none have been as long-term or serious as her marriage to Daniels.
McGee and Daniels were married for 30 years before he died from brain cancer in 2016, which left her devastated. He bequeathed the majority of his estate in the UK to her, with a gross value of over £1.5 million; however, the net value was just under £500,000 due to debts he had accrued.
In a post shared to her Instagram on Monday June 23, Debbie uploaded a photo of Daniels with the late BBC presenter Sir Terry Wogan, she typed: "Throwback Monday, just found this pic of Paul and Des O'Connor. Coincidence as I was with his daughter Tracy this weekend. 2 amazing performers.
In response, fans shared their admiration for Daniels and Wogan, as they gushed over the "legends". One commented: "The best, fab photo." Another replied: "Lovely photo, Debbie." A third responded: "The golden era."
Speaking on the Suddenly Single podcast, McGee opened up on what has been going on in her love life since the death of legendary magician Daniels in 2016. She said that she believed her age had put a lot of people off and said that it was her age gap with Paul that had caused him some concern.
McGee explained: "It puts people off. I don't know why. I don't think I had one approach. Since Paul died, I haven't had that many offers."

On Daniels' attitude to his and McGee's near 20-year age gap, she said: "Paul thought I was far too young (when we met) and kept saying, 'Go and meet someone your own age'...We had instant chemistry and made each other laugh."
This isn't the first time she has addressed her love life since the death of Daniels. On the anniversary of his passing, she told us that she was "content" when asked if she wanted a long-term love.
McGee explained: "That is a difficult question to answer. I'm not looking for love; I'm just enjoying myself.
"But if it came along, of course, I would fall in love. Nobody has control over who they fall for. But for now, that has not happened, and I am content."
