A popular homeware chain has of its Scottish branches in another blow to the Homestore + More has revealed that it will be shutting its stores in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, and Edinburgh.
It is unknown how many jobs will be lost as a result of the closures. The discount chain, which had previously won Scotland's Best Choice award, informed the customers on social media while launching a closing-down sale, reports Everything at the branch, located in East Kilbride Retail Park, has been slashed in price. In the Facebook post, a spokesperson said: "Home Store + More - Closing down sale now on. Our UK website is now offline, but our stores will remain open until the end of May. Shop at least 50% off everything in-store now."

The news left many customers devastated as they expressed their disappointment over the post, reports
One user wrote: "Gutted. Love the East Kilbride store and the staff are all amazing in there."
A second user said: "Such lovely staff and a great store - just left with a few bags of stuff," agreed another.
A third added: "So sad for the staff who work in ek Home Store + More UK. Was there today and it was packed - customers all shocked at this news."
It is not known why the retailer has decided to shut down its shops. The retailer retains several stores across Ireland.
It comes as a large number of the stores across the UK are shutting their doors over the ongoing financial crisis.
in College Square in June, while Morrisons is to close its Haxby branch in Yorkshire on May 14, and stationery giant WHSmith is to shut down three stores next month following the announcement it would sell its High Street shops to focus on its travel area.
