It is a delicious dish made without onion and garlic, which tastes so amazing that you will want to make it again and again. It will add both taste and energy to your fasting diet. Let's know about this easy and fun recipe.
Material
- Boiled potatoes – 4 medium size
- Desi ghee or peanut oil – 2 tablespoons
- Rock salt - according to taste
- Green chillies – 2 (chopped)
- Ginger (grated) – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp (optional)
- Coriander leaves - finely chopped (for garnish)
Method
- Prepare the potatoes: Peel the boiled potatoes and break them into large pieces with your hands (do not mash them completely).
- Tadka (tempering): Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds to it. When they start crackling, add ginger and green chillies and fry lightly.
- Add potatoes: Now add the smashed potatoes into it and mix well. Add rock salt and black pepper on top.
- Fry: Fry the potatoes on medium flame for 5-7 minutes till they get a slight crispness.
- Finishing: Before turning off the gas, add lemon juice and garnish with green coriander.
