The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled the tentative timetable for the 2026 board examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12. This schedule is now available on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. According to the timetable, the Class 10 examinations are set to take place from February 17 to March 7, 2026, while the Class 12 exams will be conducted from February 17 to April 9, 2025. Exam Dates and Subject Details
The first paper for Class 10 will be in Mathematics, and the last paper will cover various language subjects. For Class 12, the initial examination will focus on Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Shorthand English, and Shorthand Hindi, while the concluding paper will be on Core Sanskrit, Multimedia, and Data Science.
Class 10 Will Have Two Exams
CBSE will conduct two board examinations for Class 10 next year, with the second exam scheduled to commence on May 15 and conclude on June 1, 2026.
Exam Timing Details
As per the schedule released by CBSE, the exams will be held in a single shift. The exam timing is set from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. For certain subjects, the exam will run from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Students are advised to arrive at the examination center well before the scheduled time to avoid any delays, as latecomers may be denied entry, potentially jeopardizing their academic year.
Admit Card Distribution
Students who will be appearing for the board exams will receive their admit cards a few days prior to the examination from their respective schools. It is important to note that these admit cards cannot be downloaded online. All students must ensure they bring their admit cards to the examination center for entry.
