As Sarah Ferguson faces the storm of yet another scandal, there are two other royals who will likely be feeling every inch of that alarm and distress with her.
Her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will no doubt have rallied to support their mother following claims that she emailed paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein just days after publicly vowing to cut all ties with him.
Fergie’s unearthed email to Epstein, dated April 26 2011, came just weeks after the Duchess of York told reporters she would "never have anything to do with" the sex offender again, according to reports.
In the message, the Duchess "humbly apologised" to Epstein for linking him to paedophilia in the media, labelling him "steadfast" and "generous". As a result of the email coming to light, Sarah Ferguson has been dropped as charity patron for seven organisations.

While both Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s lives have been shaken by their connections to Epstein, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond also believes that their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, will be struggling with the aftermath of yet another scandal.
Bond told the Mirror: “As for Beatrice and Eugenie, anyone with a heart must surely feel sorry for them. It seems they have had to witness their parents’ public humiliation time and again. And that must be incredibly hard when you love someone.”
She went on to say that despite Andrew and Fergie’s series of indiscretions, their daughters have stayed incredibly loyal and stood by their parents’ side, and will likely do the same in light of the recent revelations.
Jennie said: “There’s no doubt that Sarah has been a brilliant mother to her girls, and they will protect her and love her through thick and thin. And that’s just as well, because this really is worse than anything Sarah has been through before. And I fear there is more to come.”
Her sentiments were echoed by royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, who told the Daily Mail that due to Beatrice and Eugenie’s steadfast loyalty to their parents, their own personal careers and brands may suffer.
Fitzwilliams told the publication: “The Duchess of York's disgrace is huge news, however, and likely to cause Beatrice and Eugenie enormous personal hurt. The Yorks have always been a close-knit family. However, their closeness to their parents is likely to mean that they are not involved, at least for a period, probably a considerable period, in new charitable projects.
"This will be a deeply painful period for the sisters as their parents are both likely to languish in public disgrace and foreseeably so.”
Royal author Phil Dampier added: “Beatrice and Eugenie will obviously be devastated by what has happened to their parents but they are old enough and now wise enough to know the truth.”
