This Morning star shares exciting wedding news as they return to ITV show

A This Morning star made a return to the show with some exciting news as revealed that sherecently tied the knot with her partner.

During Friday’s (July 18) episode of the ITV hit chat show, Dermot O’Leary was backon our TV screens alongside co-star Sian Welby.

The duo were on hand to present the day's top stories including a cooking segment with chef Poppy O’Toole, who was beaming with joy as she revealed that she’s just got married.

Introducing Poppy to the show, Dermot went on to say: “We’ve got the nearly married potato queen, Poppy O’Toole.”

The camera then panned over to the TV chef as she waved her hand in the air and showed off her new ring. Dermot jumped in: “Congratulations.” Poppy replied: “Thank you.”

Dermot couldn’t help but ask: “Did you serve potatoes at your wedding?” Poppy, who is dubbed ‘Potato Queen’ admitted: “Ok so as much as I love potatoes I did say not that much so we did just had one truffle potato salad.”

Poppy also shared her happy news on Instagram and admitted it wasn't quite the wedding day she and husband Tom had initially planned.

She wrote: "Well you know how we organised a wedding in like four weeks… turns out you need to give at least 29 days notice and we forgot haha. Very us.

"Unconventionally we had our 'wedding' two weeks ago where we wrote our own vows and had our friend lead the ceremony (she did amazing) so although it wasn’t 'official', it was the best day of my life!!

"So this morning we did all the official stuff at the registry office (shout out Redditch xx) with just our parents. We didn’t have a photographer so Tom decided to do a little photoshoot of me in the waiting room on his iPhone. Very glam. Very high fashion. Then our Moms signed the papers as witnesses and it was all very lovely.

"Moral of the story: it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, if you’re with the people you love and having a laugh, you’re very very lucky. I had South of France on my mood board but Redditch will do xx."

The comment section was flooded with sweet messages for the couple from fans and celebrity pals.

Gemma Collins was among the first to comment as she simply wrote: “Congratulations.” Andi Oliver said: “Congratulations lovelies. May the road rise with you!”

One fan wrote: “Couldn't think of a better place to get married! Congratulations!!” Meanwhile another added: “The richest people have love and it looks like you have an abundance! Congratulations!”
