Peter Andre has explained that you "need to teach children how to swim" in an analogy about how to deal with children, in what's seemingly a dig amid his feud with ex-wife Katie Price.
The former couple, who share kids Princess and Junior, have been at war with one another over recent months after Katie accused Peter and his management of keeping her away from their daughter Princess's work ventures and claimed their kids lived in her home. While Peter, 52, responded with a statement to "set the record straight" where he alleged that their children have been in his care since 2018.
Now, taking to his weekly New! Magazine column, Peter discussed Stacey Dooley's recent documentary with Lily Phillips - where the adult star's parents were seen distraught over her career choice. Giving his own take on parenthood and how he raises his children, Peter said in his New! Magazine column: "There’s been a lot of talk about Stacey Dooley’s documentary, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, with the adult content creator Lily Phillips, which included an emotional interview with Lily’s parents.

"It’s easy to express an opinion about someone else’s behaviour, but if you don’t actually know that person or have any knowledge of their experiences or motivations, I think it’s difficult to judge. Being a parent isn’t easy. You can offer advice, but once your kids are adults, they make their own decisions."
Peter continued: "But it’s so important to talk to your kids, especially with the world as it is today. It’s no good building a pool and telling them not to jump in – you need to teach them to swim."
Alongside Princess and Junior, Peter shares three children with his wife Emily MacDonagh; Theo, Amelia and Arabella. Peter was married to showbiz legend Katie from 2005 until 2009, with the latter making a number of claims in her podcast, The Katie Price Show, about Peter last month.

However, in a shock Instagram post that came shortly after, Peter hit out: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today."
"The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.
"In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.
"Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months."
n response, a spokesperson for Katie told the Mirror: "Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn't feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands. Kate will no longer be gaslight [sic] and bullied as she once was..."
