Olivia Attwood forced to stop filming surgery after dramatic hospital decision

Send Push

Olivia Attwood continues to question how social media is redefining beauty in the new series of The Price of Perfection. In one episode in the previous series, the alum, 34, met men willing to undergo treatments in pursuit of the "perfect penis." Now, she’s going skin-deep - literally - as she tackles everything from skin treatments to mummy makeovers.

“We touched on brand new subjects,” teases. “There's just so many different avenues that you can cover, and each one is an education in itself.”

While she’s kicking off new conversations, Olivia is sticking to an old recipe, gaining access to another live cosmetic surgery, this time 360 liposuction and a BBL on a woman named Scarlett.

However, Olivia feared the worst during the scenes in Turkey, when cameras were told they weren’t allowed to film the full procedure after all.

Speaking of the decision, Olivia said: "They did change their mind at the absolute final hour, so we just told that story and it's in its truthfulness."

“It was awful,” Olivia remembers. “A lot goes into planning these shoots for my team and I. But I was thinking ‘this is a massive red flag. Why have they suddenly changed their mind?’”

This season also features more familiar faces and in-depth interviews with celebrities like Kate Moss’ younger sister and star Chantelle Connelly. Lottie’s story also gave Olivia a chance to approach another topic she was keen on - weight loss.

“I was excited about a weight loss episode,” Olivia says. “It’s something that we just all hear about so much, but actually I had very little understanding of how it actually works.”

Lottie, 27, was hospitalised after taking Ozempic. “It had a lot of press,” Olivia says, “but I wanted to understand more about the detail behind it, why someone so petite would take Ozempic.”

She adds: “It’s not an easy conversation to have when she knows she's probably going to receive a fair amount of backlash, but she was really honest. It’s important to have those conversations.”

Olivia, who had her breast augmentation reversed and admitted her lips were “once too big,” is well aware of the dangers surgeries and other procedures can entail.

She now advocates for more awareness around the beauty industry. “Research the surgeons,” she urges.

“You have to be scrupulous with that because some surgeons can delete bad reviews and post fake good ones.”

Her main advice? “Some things aren’t reversible, so when you’re choosing to do things, don’t do it for trend.”

Olivia Atwood: The Price of Perfection series 2 airs on ITV2 and ITVX June 12.
