A Love Is Blind UK star has made a frank admission that they got "cold feet" before the show.

The second series of Love Is Blind UK came to a dramatic end last month after an explosive Netflix reunion. Despite five engaged couples and three saying "I do" at the altar, it was just gamerKieran and dancer Megan who confirmed they were still happily married and going from strength to strength.

Fans saw everything from explosive rows to tears and heartbreak as viewers are left wondering what's next for the cast. The hit show landed in the UK last year after its huge success in America, quickly becoming a Netflix favourite with its unique twist on dating.

One major success story is that of Nicole Grunewald-Bridey and Benaiah Grunewald-Bridey who were seen in the first series. But viewers may remember Nicole was initially engaged to Sam Klein before ultimately choosing Benaiah.

Since marrying on the show in September 2024, their relationship has only grown stronger, and the couple continues to enjoy their time together. Speaking to Heart Bingo, they have opened up about the show, life outside, as well as an honest admission.

Opening up about what she was looking for on the show, Nicole confessed: "I was hoping for a connection but I remember getting cold feet and wanting to pull out a few days before the show started filming, but I’d already signed the contract.

"I asked one of the producers if she thought there was a possibility for a connection for me there and she said there was. So I went in hopeful but not expecting an engagement. There’s only 15 people in the show, so I questioned the chances of finding my perfect person."

Benaiah also admitted he was skeptical, adding: "I was approached by producers and I’d never watched the show. I was a little skeptical that you could form such a connection in a short space of time, but I was open."

Since the show has aired, Nicole and Benaiah have travelled the world together and their relationship continues to grow, even returning back to their holiday destination from the show.

Speaking about their time on the show, Nicole told Heart Bingo: "I’m grateful for the show. I found Ben, made friendships and also developed more of a passion for self-enquiry. It taught me how resilient I can be and also how resilient our marriage is.

"It’s easy to throw in the towel in a reality relationship. It would almost be expected. So I’m proud of us for pushing through."

As Benaiah added: "I’m grateful for Nicole and my marriage. The aftercare and welfare from Netflix and the production company was fantastic too. They really took care of us."

However, of course fans will remember not everything was smooth sailing as Nicole admitted she came onto the show having been married before and was not sure how others would take that. She said: "I was trying to gauge Ben and how serious he was and was indirectly projecting my fears onto him.

"I was a bit naive too and I didn’t stand up for myself and our relationship too. If I could go back and relive it, I’d be saying plenty."

Love Is Blind UK seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
