Cat Deeley looks ready for autumn in River Island shirt dress she paired with boots

This Morning presenter Cat Deeley is no stranger to stylish outfits, so when we spotted her in an autumnal River Island dress we rushed to the fashion retailer's website to check it out. The ITV star appeared to be wearing this £59 Yellow Utility Shirt Dress yesterday (September 18), and we think it's ideal for new season dressing.

The River Island number is already selling fast and is currently low in stock in UK sizes six, eight, 20, and 22, so we reckon shoppers who want to steal Cat's style should add it to their baskets pronto. The dress, which also comes in a wearable khaki shade, is shoppable in UK sizes six to 22.

The autumn-readyl item is listed as 'trending' on the River Island website, and it's not hard to see why. The everyday frock features a wearable shirt dress cut that could easily be styled with boots and an autumnal jacket. Boasting a short sleeve design that's ideal for layering when the weather can't make up its mind, it also has stylish chest pockets and a flattering belted waist.

With its mini length, it works well for the in-between weather we've been having and could be worn with bare legs and knee high boots in true Cat style. Shoppers could also dress the versatile piece up, styling it with heels for a more elevated evening look.

Whilst River Island's website doesn't carry reviews, the dress is proving a hit with shoppers as the khaki version is already out of stock in many sizes. We reckon the mustard yellow version is also sure to sell fast thanks to its rich autumnal colourway and celeb seal of approval.

A similar looking piece from White Stuff is the Rua Embroidered Collared Jersey dress at £75. With embroidered bits all over, it's ideal for wearing with long boots. Meanwhile, Reiss has slashed the price of this Aubrey Midi Dress in Rust to £98, down from £170. It has pleating at the front waist for a feminine shape.

Cat regularly shares her outfits on Instagram including items from many high street retailers such as Zara, Mint Velvet, Reiss, and Office Shoes with fans regularly flocking to the comments section to share their love for the star's looks.

Whilst we love the River Island frock for autumn dressing, one drawback is that if the weather cools significantly there could be limited time to wear the item with bare legs.

Despite this, the dress is ideal for layering and shoppers who like tights could still style it once the winter chills set in. We'd clash textures and add a suede jacket to add an on-trend touch to the look.
