Alison Hammond is 'happier than ever' after stunning 13st weight loss

Alison Hammond is "happier than ever" after her incredible 13 stone weight loss. The This Morning star embarked upon her new healthier lifestyle after receiving a receiving a pre-diabetic diagnosis. Alison, 50, says that she didn't choose to use any form of drastic diet to undergo her transformation, instead opting to work with a personal trainer and eating everything “in moderation”.

While Alison did try intervention methods to lose weight when she had a gastric band fitted on 2007, she had to have it removed again just three years later after her body rejected it. A source told the Mirror that Alison is also feeling happier after learning to put herself first instead of always trying to please others.

They said, “She’s worked so hard since she first started in TV and work has always been her biggest priority after Aidan, but that’s changed now. She’s got a better balance. Her own needs and her love life are much more of a priority – and it shows.”

The news comes as it was also revealed that Alison's relationship with her 28-year-old boyfriend David Putman has her feeling “on top of the world.”

The source explained, “Alison is literally on top of the world at the moment – she just could not be happier. She’s been grinning from ear to ear recently and David is a huge reason for that.”

Alison previously admitted that her son, Aidan, was a huge part of her relationship with David being successful as he gives her expert advice on her love life. Speaking on Romesh Ranganathan's Parents Evening alongside Aiden the pair were asked who is the best when it comes to giving advice.

Alison replied directing her comments at Aiden, "When it comes to relationship advice you're very good! But when it comes to career advice I'm not sure!" Alison - known for her loud personality - also admitted that she has a tendency to talk too much.

She said, "Yeah maybe I overshare a little bit. I'll probably overshare in the show."

Alison has previously admitted that Aiden approved of David who works as a dancer and model but studied body therapy at uni and claims he can help with “classic, lymphatic drainage, anti-cellulite, wraps, and facial massage”.

The couple met after Alison booked a massage with David in 2023 and they went public in April last year. They then made their red carpet debut two months later, joined by Aidan, at a bash for Jamie Laing’s sweet brand Candy Kittens.

They have kept their romance mostly out of the spotlight, however, with Alison once saying, “I don’t like to go into detail about him because it’s my private life and I want to respect his life as well. But you know I’m loved-up – everyone knows that.”
