Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 22-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her house under Azad Nagar police station limits on Wednesday. Police said some chats were found deleted from her mobile phone.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Varsha Baghel, a resident of Alok Nagar, Musakhedi.
Her family said she worked in a private company but had not gone to work for the past two days, telling them she was unwell. On Wednesday, while her parents and brother were away at work and she was alone at home, she hanged herself. When her father returned in the evening, he found her hanging.
Man hangs himself after wife fails to return home
A 25-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his place after his wife did not return from her village following Raksha Bandhan.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Ranjit Ahirwar, a resident of Virat Nagar, Azad Nagar. He had returned from his native place in Sagar district on Wednesday.
Late at night, he was found hanging. Ranjit worked in a plywood company and is survived by his wife and a son. His wife had gone to her village to celebrate Rakhi and had not returned, leading him to take the drastic step.

Police registered a case against a man and his parents for abetting the suicide of his wife in Lasudia police station area. The incident occurred on August 5 when the 26-year-old woman ended her life by hanging herself at her place allegedly due to physical and mental harassment by her husband and parents-in-law.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sheetal, wife of Ritesh Makwane, a resident of Nipania. During investigation and after recording statements of her family members, it came to light that Sheetal was married to Ritesh on May 9, 2022.
Her husband Ritesh did not take good care of Sheetal and used to beat her frequently after drinking alcohol, due to which Sheetal returned to her maternal home two-three times, but each time her father-in-law Punamchand and husband Ritesh took her back home after giving assurance.
She was being mentally and physically harassed by her husband and parents-in-law. To get rid of this regular harassment, she took the drastic step.
The police registered a case against the accused under section 108 of the BNS and further investigation is underway.
