The Royals X (Twitter) Review: 'Waste Of Time', Ishaan Khatter & Bhumi Pednekar Starrer Fails To Impress The Netizens

Netflix’s new series titled The Royals started streaming on Friday. The show stars Ishaan Khatter, Bhumi Pednekar, Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Vihaan Samrat, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey, and others. It is directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana. While the show has received mostly negative reviews from the critics, it has also failed to impress the netizens.

A netizen tweeted, “SAVE YOUR TIME... The Royals @NetflixIndia – Easily one of the worst shows ever made...Embarrassing script, no substance, and drama so fake it actually hurts.... Bakwas show..why Netflix always agrees to make such a bekar show. Waste of time (sic).”

Another X user was not impressed with veteran actress Zeenat Aman’s acting, and he posted, “Was zeenat aman always a bad actor even in her day or she is particularly at her worst in #Theroyals ? (sic).” One more netizen wrote, “Wanting to get off the war news on the TV channels, I tried watching the just released #TheRoyals on @NetflixIndia The content team needs a shake up seriously. Trailer made me feel it's a thriller but it's neither a chickflick nor a comedy. What a waste of talent (sic).”

The Royals Review

Well, Free Press Journal’s reviewer gave The Royals 3 stars and wrote, “The Royals may not reinvent the rom-com wheel, but it certainly bedazzles it. In a world increasingly cynical about love and loyalty, this is frothy, fizzy escapism at its most decadent—slightly absurd, occasionally poignant, and always dressed to the nines.”
