Khetia (Madhya Pradesh): Villagers of Khetia and Chichwani have been waiting for good road connectivity between the two villages for decades.
The 3-kilometre route from Khetia to Chichwani village near Malpha remains in poor condition, forcing residents to face daily struggles when travelling for work and education.
Heavy rains make the situation worse, creating large potholes filled with water and mud that spread across the road. Small drains also block the way, making travel dangerous for everyone.
Indore Police Launches Awareness Campaign Against DrugsStudents walking to school in Malpha say they live in constant fear of accidents. "The government gave us bicycles, but it is dangerous to ride them on such roads," said several Class 11 students who travel from Chichwani daily.
These students have been making the difficult journey through mud and water since Class 9, getting soaked during rainy season.
Local Gopal Chouhan spoke for the villagers, saying, "We have not seen a proper road here since Independence. When someone falls sick, reaching for help becomes very hard." He added that people often fall off their motorcycles and children find it tough to walk to school.
