Dramatic Visuals: Toll Plaza Falls Like Pack Of Cards Due To Strong Winds In Raipur (VIDEO)

Raipur: A strong storm hit Chhattisgarh's Raipur on Thursday evening. Due to the storm, the Tarpongi toll plaza collapsed like pack of cards. The iron structure could not withstand the pressure of the wind and fell nearby. A video of the big structure of the toll plaza falling has emerged on the internet. In the video, the toll plaza can be seen falling while the vehicles are lined up on the other side.

This caused a traffic jam for a long. Although there were no casualties in this incident, some vehicles were damaged.

There was heavy storm and rain in many districts of the state including Raipur. Winds blew at a speed of 50-60 kmph in the state's capital. Due to this, incidents of trees and hoarding collapse were reported at many places. There was power outage in Raipur for 10 hours, causing inconvenience to the people. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather for the next three days and has issued an orange alert in 12 districts.

Due to the weather, there was no electricity in the community health center of Bastar. Reportedly, doctors were treating patients in the flashlight of mobile phones.
