Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A debt ridden youth was arrested by the Tilak Nagar police station staff for allegedly stealing and snatching mobile phones from different areas of the city, police said on Friday.
So far, a dozen mobile phones have been recovered from him and the accused is being questioned for other such crimes.
According to Additional DCP (zone-2) Amrendra Singh, the mobile of a woman was stolen from near Shalimar Palm three months ago. A team led by Tilak Nagar police station in charge Manish Lodha was constituted to arrest the accused.

He allegedly confessed his crime after which the police recovered 11 mobile phone phones from his possession. His bike used in the crime was also recovered from him.
Police believed that most of the mobile phones were snatched by him from the people in Tilak Nagar, Kanadiya and Khajrana area of the city.
The accused allegedly informed the police that he works in a cashew and almond processing unit in Khudel. He had borrowed money from some people and was unable to repay the same so he made a plan to snatch and steal mobile phones.
