Pakistani Army troops violated ceasefire again along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir for the second consecutive day after the Pahalgam terror attack. As per the Indian Army, on the intervening night of April 25 and 26, unprovoked small firing was carried out by various Pakistan Army posts all across the LoC.
The Indian Army retaliated strongly. No casualties have been reported so far.

Notably, several incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan Army were also reported across the LoC since early Friday morning. In retaliation, Indian Army, too, opened fire.
According to reports, Pakistan Army violated ceasefire at multiple places in Nowgam area along the LoC in the North Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Tensions between India and Pakistan has escalated since Tuesday, when Pakistan-based terror outfit killed 27 tourists and a local pony guide at Baisaran near Pahalgam in South Kashmir.
The Indian security forces also destroyed houses of two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Anantnag and Pulwama over the suspicion of their involvement in Pahalgam attack.
Meanwhile, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi reached Srinagar of Friday and held a security review meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
The Army chief will review the security arrangement in the Union territory. Following the terror attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday, India downgraded ties with Pakistan citing cross-border links in the attack. India suspended Indus Waters Treaty and cancelled visas issued to Pakistani nationals along with other measures.
In retaliation, Pakistan on Thursday announced to keep bilateral agreements including Simla Agreement of 1972 with India in abeyance.
