Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in the Solapur, Maharashtra fire incident and wished a swift recovery for the injured. He announced ex-gratia from PMNRF: ₹2 lakh for the deceased's families and ₹50,000 for the injured.

Eight people, including three women and a child, lost their lives in a major fire at a factory in Solapur district, Maharashtra, on Sunday, officials reported. Initial findings suggest an electrical short circuit sparked the blaze around 3:45 am at Central Textile Mills on Akkalkot Road in Solapur MIDC, approximately 400 km from Mumbai.
The victims include the factory owner, Haji Usman Hasanbhai Mansuri, three of his family members—among them his one-and-a-half-year-old grandson—and four workers. According to an official, three of the deceased were women.
