In a bid to enhance career guidance and support students’ psychosocial wellbeing, the Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE) on Thursday introduced two key programs for the 2025–26 academic year — the Career Guidance Dashboard and the Counseling Hub and Spoke School Model. These landmark initiatives were launched during an orientation and interaction session attended by school principals, educators, and mental health professionals.
As reported by PTI, CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh stated, “Both initiatives are designed to benefit schools and students and will continue to evolve through active input from stakeholders.”
What’s new in the CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard?
The newly launched Career Guidance Dashboard is a comprehensive digital tool created for students, teachers, and school leaders alike. It includes:
A new model for emotional wellbeing
The CBSE Counseling Hub and Spoke Model has been designed to establish a well-structured support network at the school level. Its primary goal is to promote emotional and mental health alongside academic and career support.
As per PTI reports, a dedicated session during the launch focused on explaining the model’s structure, roles for individual schools, and monitoring systems to ensure effective implementation.
