Fans troll Lisa after her inclusion in 2025 Gold House A100 list

Send Push

The 2025 edition of the Gold House A100 List, a prestigious honour recognizing the 100 most impactful Asian Pacific leaders across various industries, has included BLACKPINK stars Lisa and ROSÉ. The list celebrates influential figures in entertainment, fashion, business, social impact, and sports.

Lisa (Lalisa Manobal), the 28-year-old Thai singer, was honored not only for her global musical influence but also for her acting debut as Mook in the third season of The White Lotus. Her bandmate ROSÉ was also named to the list, alongside her APT. collaborator Bruno Mars.

But what impact?

Shortly after the announcement, many K-pop fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to question the basis of the recognition. Several pointed out that Lisa's most popular songs are collaborations with Western artists, while ROSÉ's only trending track is also tied to her collaboration with Bruno Mars. Many argued that their solo releases—without any featured artists—have not made significant chart impact.

Interestingly, while ROSÉ escaped much of the backlash, Lisa faced the brunt of the criticism. Some users speculated that her accolades were less about merit and more influenced by her alleged relationship with Frédéric Arnault, a member of the LVMH family.

Fans react

One user commented, "She has an impact to make whoever collabs with her flop."

Another said, "What did she do? LOL, people only know her because of Bruno."

One wrote, "Genuinely curious—what kind of impact has she made??"

Another shared a photo of Frédéric Arnault, captioned, "We already know how."

One added, "She should thank her billionaire boyfriend for that."

Other artists on the list

The 2025 A100 honorees will be celebrated throughout the month of May, with festivities culminating at the Gold Gala in Los Angeles on the 10th.

This year's list also features notable names such as Squid Game stars Lee Byung-hun and Lee Jung-jae, and director Hwang Dong-hyuk. K-pop groups SEVENTEEN and aespa join the ranks, along with global music acts like Charli XCX, Laufey, and Tyla.
