Some users claimed that Virat Kohli liked a sultry photo posted by a fan page dedicated to TV actress Avneet Kaur. Screenshots allegedly showing his account in the "likes" section quickly went viral on many social media channels.

The interaction sparked a wave of reactions online, with some speculating it was done by his manager or that it must have been a mistake.

Is it true or fake?

For nearly a day, Kohli remained silent and when people checked the post again, his like was no longer visible. However, addressing the issue, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star took to Instagram to clear the air.

Kohli wrote: "I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding."

Amid the social media buzz, Kohli shared a heartfelt post for Anushka Sharma on her 37th birthday. The couple fondly called Virushka, have been admired for their strong bond. They continue to be one of India's most beloved pairs and have been also called the 'power couple'.
